Homemade Purdy Love-heart Nails

This morning I finally got Pinterest, it is brilliant and I don't know how I lived without it to be honest, if you wish follow me -  princessnicx

I was browsing through the 'woman's fashion' section and stumbled across a board full of beautiful nail designs so I thought I'd try a design for myself. I choose to do a simplistic design for my first go and I thought it turned out quite pretty! I really grudge paying over thirty pounds in a beauticians to have my nails done and after three weeks they fall off and are ruined. Therefore, by indulging in Pinterest I am presented with lots of pretty designs to paint my nails, you can't go wrong!

This is the photograph of the girl who did the love-heart design which I decided to try (but with a little twist). There was no instructions on how to get the finished look so I just guessed and here is what I did:

1) I started off with a base coat of clear Sally Hansen Maximum Growth nail polish and let it dry.

2) I then applied a pale pink color to all of my nails except from my ring fingers which I painted Purple Panic by China Glaze and let them all dry completely.

3) Afterwards I used the Purple Panic by China Glaze to paint small hearts on all of my fingers I painted pale pink and added glitter polish by Topshop to give the hearts a little sparkle.

4) On my ring fingers I covered the top half with Barry M Pink Multi Glitter and added a little more of the Glitter Polish by Topshop.

5) I waited for all of my nails to dry and used Sally Hansen Maximum Growth again as a top coat to add a protective coat and add more shine, and here is the finished product!

So there we have it, extremely easy to do and no money what so ever and I think they look very pretty, I can go to work a happy girl haha!

Hope you all have a fabulous day, xo

A Day Out in Edinburgh

So as I mentioned in my last post today I went shopping to Edinburgh with my mum, and since this is my own personal fashion blog and I don't think I can afford to go shopping anytime soon I better mention what I bought today!

I am currently obsessed with floral and paisley print, I just find it so pretty! So I got this pinafore like dress from Urban Outfitters (obviously in the sale with student discount), I'm wearing a long sleeved black top underneath it for now as it is still a bit chilly but I think in the Summer I'll be able to wear it by itself. By teaming this pinafore up with tights and a pair of chelsea boots you could literally wear this outfit anywhere or perhaps with a pair of heels if you were going somewhere more formal! I love the daisy print (which is quite in at the moment!) its fresh and screams spring and summer, which I am longing for!

I also got a new watch today! I did receive one very similar though slightly larger for my Christmas but the battery was gone - just a little heads up if you're wanting a watch from Urban Outfitters as I have bought two and they have both broke - just saying! But yeah, I exchanged the broken one for this brown leather strapped gold faced one with a map background in the face, very cute.

Also, couldn't miss out my buys from one of my all time favorite shop, Lush. I treated  myself to bath bomb and lipgloss, which both smell delicious! Hope you enjoyed my second post for today (I'm feeling extremely enthusiastic about this blog) I'm away for a Lush bath! xo

My First Post

Funnily enough, this blog was created on behalf of my beautiful mother. As we were traveling to Edinburgh on the train she was quizzing me on my future career - as she likes to do quite often. She proposed the idea to start a fashion blog to enhance my writing skills, gain followers and most importantly write about what I love most..fashion. As it goes, my mum is a very talented and intelligent woman and in all the years I have known her, her ideas have never been a let down, yet! So, this is why I indulged in the unknown.

This morning I had to write a post on my seminar group Digital Media blog about anything that was of interest to me (obviously nothing to do with digital media). I composed a post about Cara Delevingne and Mulberry's collaboration in designing and releasing a bag collection named after the British model (whom I obsess over daily). So I'm a little stuck as to what to put in my first post, I didn't want to not introduce myself and why I started this blog by just indulging in a post all about a trend, so I didn't.

I guess there was no real need for my first post except the need to have a first post, which seems very boring now that I've read it! Although I hope you secretly enjoyed it, have a lovely day!
